ivm2007

Recommended Posts

I have bought the new version (4.01) of IVM. It's running over windows2000professional.

With previousily version (3.xx) running over windows2003server all was ok!

But now SMTP directly doesn't go.

Send to lan folder and forward to telephone number go well.

Can anyone help me? Thank you.

Today I install the old version (3.04) on windows 2000 professional and all function (smtp, mapi) of email work well.

Conclusion: I think the version 4.01 has a problem with SMTP email.

I buy the new version for nothing.

Has nobody a version between the 3.04 and 4.01?

Thank you.

OK, no answers here, just a post to let everyone know that you are not alone, same platform and exact same symptoms. Win 2000 Pro, SP4.

I have tried this software on Win 2000 Pro, Win XP Pro and Win Media Center Edition, I get tapisrv.dll application crashes on XP and MCE. Win 2000 is the only one that it has been stable on but as you have noticed, it wont send mail.

We believe this problem has now been corrected. If you would like to test the latest build with this fix to confirm that it is indeed solved, could you please email me at <snip>.

Update:

The latest version on our site now contains this fix. Please download it directly from www.nch.com.au/ivm.

  • 2 weeks later...

I'm newbie, having just downloaded installed 4.01 yesterday, and cannot get the SMTP email to work at all. It just doesn't seem to connect to either my local SMTP server (on the same machine), nor directly.

Its certainly not clear in the docs how direct SMTP works, does this mean it has its own SMTP server listening on port 25, if so this would be a bad thing if I'm also running a SMTP server on the same machine.

Altough I found out that when an email is forwarded even IVM recognizes the Caller ID number, the forwarded Email you receive says Caller unknown.

Does anybody have the same problem?

I was having trouble with 4.01 also which was my first installation. I installed 4.02 and the program has been trying to send emails for the last 15 minutes. Apparently when I first started, I had an error in reply address because every message gets this response from the SMTP server: "Mail host server error (MAIL FROM not accepted). Please check your Emal Settings." Does anyone know how to clear out the buffer without uninstalling the program completely?

I figured this one out myself. Just delete the messages from the mailbox.
