Mixing Audio

Hi,

on certain tracks, when pasting the beginning of a song(Track A) onto the tail end of another song (Track , not all of the audio on track A can be heard the way it was intended to (prevalent guitars and vocals are now in the background). it sounds like when you blow a speaker out and you only hear half of the song (my speakers work fine). This only happens when I use the 'paste mix feature.' help!
