Won't Play MP3 Audio

I have been playing my MP3 Audio transcription files just fine with Express Scribe. After some issues with adware and installing and running SpyBot, I returned to my audio files and Express Scribe will not play them. From foot pedal, keyboard, or mouse to play, the file sits idle, then courser skips to end of file. I deleted and redownloaded the audio files, but the same thing occurred.

 

Do I need to uninstall/reinstall? Is there a quick fix?

Additional info:

 

I have just tried to play the same files on REAL PLAYER and they did the same thing - nothing, then coursor skips to end of file.
