PhotoStage crashes continously

I have created a slideshow using the version I bought last fall. (9.8.4) After creation, I upgraded Photostage to what I think was 10.36. On launch, I was offered to load my previously created show. When launched, several slides had effects added to them (balloons and snowflakes) which I had never added. When I removed the effect, Preview is rebuilt and then I get a crash. "PhotoStage Slideshow Producer has crashed because of an abnormal exception."

I have not yet heard back from NCH but noted a beta update (10.37) Installed and while marginally better performance the crashes continue and are so frequent, I can't even review and edit the show without crashes.

I have asked if I can still get my hands on my original version as I have a copy of the show, saved from that version. Under a time crunch as I need the show for an event this weekend.

Any advice anyone?

Hi @HeirloomBob,

Please make sure that you can see the "Licensed Software" status at the very top of the window, next to the program's name. If you are using the unlicensed version you need to contact NCH technical support so they can help you to install the correct version and send you your registration code.  You can create a ticket using the following link: https://www.nch.com.au/support/index.html

In order to avoid any similar situation in the future, before updating or making any other changes on your computer it is strongly recommended to save your file first (Menu > File > Backu Up Project File to Folder).
