Volume is normalized to 0 DB upon import

I brought in an audio file that was normalized to minus 5 db in wavepad. But when I imported that file into Video Pad, it increased the db rating to 0 automatically. So, now my sound is louder than I want it to be.

Where is the settings section for audio in videopad, where I can tell videopad not to adjust the db level automatically and to keep it as it is during import?
