Stuck on "Processing Sound Clips" when Exporting to mp4

Recommended Posts

Prompt stuck on "Processing Sound Clips" when attempting to Export 2.3min Video using the "Export video" option as a mp4 and the default settings.

  • Videopad Professional v11.26
  • Windows 10 pro
  • Didnt have this issue initially when creating the video, has occoured after closing and coming back to this vpj
  • Have tried saving into a new vpj
  • Have confirmed the audio and video file links from the vpj are not broken (video plays fine in the videopad preview)
  • Have tried restarting both video pad and computer
  • Have tried a different export format .wmv
  • Have tried unticking the "automatically normalise volume of external audio" and "automatically normalise volume of audio recordings"
  • Computer is working fine, plenty of disk space, enough ram and cpu to process a 2min video fairly quickly

Any ideas what to do?

I have done this now, right click, properties, compatibility, ticked "run this program as admin".

When I open the program it prompts me to confirm run as admin and I say yes.

Then I open the project, and try to export, the same prompt "Processing Sound Clips" appears, it does not go away (its been 5 mins)

Previously the export has taken much less time (its only 2min video)

Any other ideas?

Thanks for the report.  To get to the bottom of this please share the project with the forum - or privately in a Personal Message to me.  The process is easy, quick and can be done privately.  Just follow these steps...

  •     Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left.  Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER.  Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER.
  •     Upload ---  Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER.    Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file.
  •     Get link --- Get a public link.  If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view"
  •     Share ---     Click COPY LINK | DONE.  Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me.  It won't be shared.

          *    Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES.  Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.

Also, try this..

Under OPTIONS | EDITING tab, in the GPU processor area at the bottom, change default to None (CPU only).  If no joy, change it back.

Also, try installing the latestFor licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date.  After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest.  Retain your old install file and registration info.

I backed up the files, and shared a google drive link with you privately.

I have also installed the latest verstion 13.09 now, then made sure to open it as an administrator.

Then when I try to export the video the same "processing sound clips" prompt appears and does not go away - the video never exports.

Is there some ongoing bug in the Video Pad software? I can see in the forum there have been a few other posts on this topic?

Thank you
