Trouble uploading film clips to the video

Hi, I keep having problems uploading film clips to the video. I get into the file to pick the clip for the video but it said uploading video but nothing happens, it seems to freeze, and I have to close using control alt delete. It is difficult to explain properly. Sometimes it goes in and I only get sound but no film.  Anyone understand what I mean and know what to do?

You are simply importing a clip from your PC into Videopad?  What format (MOV, mp4, AVI, etc.) are these video/audio clips?  What resolution (HD, 2K, 4K)?

Reboot the PC.

Install the latest release.  For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date.  After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest.  Retain your old install file and registration info.

Hello, thank you for your reply. I have already imported the clips into video pad. they are MOV and I have already uploaded some into the video I am creating, and they work fine, but two so far just will not go into the video  and show, although I get the sound, then the programme crashes. I have tried a few times and sometimes I have it and sometimes I don't. If it works then crashes, when I go back in ,it doesn't work.

I will try uploading the latest release and see what happens. The wording of the terms of the latest release put me off a bit, but I will go head and try.

If the latest doesn't solve the issue, please share your project for analysis.  This takes just minutes, is not difficult and can be private.  Just follow these steps...

  •     Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left.  Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER.  Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER.
  •     Upload ---  Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER.    Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file.
  •     Get link --- Get a public link.  If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view"
  •     Share ---     Click COPY LINK | DONE.  Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me.  It won't be shared.

          *    Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES.  Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.

If you have a licensed version, it won't expire and can always be reinstalled.  Newer releases can be test driven, to see if they solve problems or have useful features.
