Is it possible to change a background

Hi,  Thanks for taking my question. 

I'm wondering if it is possible to change the background in the screenshot taken from a video clip by using an overlay?  The image is a close up but other times it is more of a wide angle shot.

Had this been shot in front of a high contrast backround then chromakey (green screen) would have succeeded.  But as is, results would be unacceptable.

So I guess that if I had a green screen it would have been possible?  Is there a link to how this overlay would be accomplished in VP? 

Any key considerations for using a green screen during a recording?  I heard that the screen needs to be very stable with no wrinkles.

This isn't an overlay.  What's needed is a high contrast between the background and the subject, with no background color (usually green) in the subject itself.

Then the colored background is keyed out and another substituted.  Lighting and texture of the green screen should be consistent.
