Kinga73
Hi all, I have a desperate need of help. I cannot export a video project from videopad. An error appears while processing it saying it failed. Thank you for your help.
borate
What version of Videopad is being used? Is this LOSSLESS export? If so, try Off (Re-encode) instead. Click the blue Default Quality / Filesize link. Update to the latest version. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If these measures don't help, come back here.
katyfitz17
This is also happening to me and I have the latest version. This error only started happening after I updated and it is registered. If you ever got this fixed, please let me know how. I reached out to the support team and they weren't willing to give me any actual advice. They just wanted me to send my project file and videos to them. It's skipping the "Indexing Video" step in the export. It goes right from "Pending" to "Video Position" then immediately fails. borate
What are your export settings? What's the format of the bulk of the source files? Install this version. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. Confirm that the video driver and Direct-X are current... VideoPad has been known to crash due to problems with older graphics card drivers. If you are experiencing frequent crashes then you should download and install the latest drivers for your graphics hardware and update to the latest version of DirectX. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server. That done, someone will be glad to diagnose the problem. But without seeing it there can be only speculation.
