unstop1
I get the message "cannot open the fil ....dvf. Check it exists and you have read access." Can someone help me with how to do the conversion. Thanks. robert.turner@cornell.edu
Guest nchto
Reading / decoding of msv and dvf files is passed off by Switch to the Sony plugin - Switch itself does nothing during that time. So any failures to read msv / dvf files are due to plugin issues and not issues with Switch. To load Sony msv and dvf files you will need to download and install the Sony Plugin for Windows Media Player. There is a link to this download on our website at www.nch.com.au/scribe/sony.html Since the plugin heavily relies on the Microsoft DirectX multimedia libraries to work properly, go to the Windows update website (www.windowsupdate.com) and check to see that you have upgraded your computer to the latest version of DirectX. Once the program on the site scans your computer it will let you know what needs updating. If DirectX is there in the list, then you should download and install it.
