Taz1033
Hello i am using version 16.71. with windows 11 If i upload a file MP3 at 320 and try to save it as MP3 at 128 to reduce the size it wont do it. it keeps the file size the same it alert me that i am saving a file in a lower bit rate but it wont lower the bit rate. for example a file MP3 320 when saved as MP3 128 will have the same size. Have anyone came across this issue???? Thank you Eli
elk
In attempt to fix this issue, you can try the steps below: Uninstall WavePad, then delete 3 folders named "WavePad" and 1 named "Components" from these locations: **C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\WavePad\ **C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\WavePad\ **C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Components **C:\ProgramData\NCH Software\WavePad\ **If you can't find any of the folders, just continue. After that, restart your computer and reinstall the program using this link: https://www.nch.com.au/components/wpsetup.exe Once done, restart your system one more time and try again. vapors
Why anyone today would find any value in downsizing to 128 is beyond comprehension. But you do you.
Taz1033
We actually use wave format to broadcast, but we need to downsize the the file to be able to send it using whatsapp for approval. for now we use a different software to make the file smaller, it would have been nice not to have to do that extra step. vapors
I apologize for my somewhat snarky post - I should have worded that differently. Thanks for the explanation.
