swabygw
I'm familiar with the functionality of SHIFT or CTRL plus left-click to select multiple clips. But, sometimes, I need to select many, many clips (too many to do one-by-one with CTRL plus left-click) and they are on multiple tracks (SHIFT plus left-click only works within a single track). If I click and drag on the timeline to create a blue region, I can encapsulate them all within the region, but how do I make them (i.e., the clips within the blue region) all selected? If I click anywhere after creating the region, I lose the region.
borate
<Shift> click is good for multiple tracks. Click the first, then hold down <shift> and click the last. All between the two will be selected. select.mp4
swabygw
Thanks - that is helpful! But what if you wanted to select, say, just the right-hand column of clips? For example, in the video above, how could you select all of the clips with the orange circles (e.g., if the user wanted to select them to move off further to the right)? borate
Hold down <shift> or <ctrl> and select the clips on each track, then drag them to the right. Untitled.mp4
