Video Quality poor

I have been using Golden videos for a while and notice that the quality is much worse than playing the recorded video than it appear when connected directly to a tv. It is horribly noisy. I I record in color  on a pc windows 11. I video in color  and have tried all three formats, AVI Mp3 WMV. All look terrible .Resolution is poor. What am I doing wrong? Please help andt hanks for providing this forum!

Could be a glitch, Let's try doing a clean install and delete all the cache of the program. Uninstall your software first, then go to the folder location below on your computer then delete the GoldenVideos folder folders:

C:\ProgramData\NCH Software
C:\Users\(Your computer profile)\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\GoldenVideos

If you can't find the AppData folder, set Windows to show hidden files and folders with the steps from this link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/14201/windows-show-hidden-files.

After deleting the GoldenVideos  folder, restart your computer then install it again from the next link: https://www.nchsoftware.com/goldenvideos/gvsetup.exe

That should do it. Please try it again after that and see if that fixes the issue.

Unfortunately the reinstall requires another purchase. that is unacceptable .

You should be able to decline that and choose the option that says you already purchase and to use the registration code. You can just register the license on that new version and test to see if the issue continues.

I finally figured it out. The option to register was in the file dropdown first screen Golden Videos. There it was, and it worked. Surprised no one, including NCH people, knew that this was the way to do it
