Pretty terrible

Hi, I'm new here. I ve a lot of regrets buying videopad. My history: Bought videopad in 2013. After making a lot of videos I decided to buy a new version. Now videopad Pro v 11.15.

My laptop:Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10875H CPU @ 2.30GHz   2.30 GHz  Ram 32Gb  64bit x64 processor on Windows 11. My problems started immmediatly. How can I from slowmo to normal speed make a transition  whitout the frames freezes. But if somebody has the time to look at my videos, then you will know what the problems are.

I made the last video and it was terrible, so I made it in HD in 2K 30fr   2K 12fr and so on.

Here are the videos: https://youtu.be/Whoa3A3CMnY    https://youtu.be/HjaCgJ9Kt1Q     https://youtu.be/VhtVsUOQIBE    https://youtu.be/pLlesWLN-xc    https://youtu.be/BvJXKjYO7J4

I hope that somebody can see my mistake or something else. Btw: I made over 350 videos. With the new videopad about 24.

Thanks in advance...Roy

The only thing I learned from this program is be patient.

You shouldn't have to be THAT patient if the project is constructed correctly and the PC has capable hardware for resource-intensive video editing.

Before beginning a new effort go to OPTIONS | DISK tab and Clear Unused Cache Files - for a clean start.   You can also do this anytime during an editing session.

Use the 64-bit version for lengthy, complex projects.  Sometimes it's best to break very large/hi-def projects into chunks.  Export each, then reassemble them for the final.

For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date.  After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest.  Retain your old install file and registration info.

Seems fine here.  A split at the five-second point.  Initial five at 50% speed, then normal to the end.  Use the above linked version.  No export freeze.

What other issues, specifically, are you encountering?

So many. All those things you write above, I have. Look what kind of laptop I have. Also 64bit and a program for 'only' €70,- The slowmo. Try a slowmo clip and then an other clip on normal speed. You can say a million time that you don't have this problem, does this help me???

Problems with different cams. All in 4K and 30fr. Drone video are always choking in the transitions.

Problems making it in 4k

problems making it in 2K with more then 24fr.

Clip backwards...not doable. Video doesn't make the rest after this. I hope you have seen that I made more the 350 videos, so I'm no Newbee.

Maybe listening to your customers looks to me a more efficient way to communicate. Did you see my videos???????

Understand that this is peer support - folks just like yourself helping others.  There are support channels at NCH, but this forum is often the best bet.

The system here is similar to yours.  Your links were scanned and all seemed to be same video.  Share one that has problems and we'll check it out. That's the only way to try replicating the issues.  Most can be solved or will be fixed.  Point out specific problem areas and please use the 64-bit latest release.

The process is easy, quick and can be done privately.  Just follow these steps...

  •     Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left.  Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER.  Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER.
  •     Upload ---  Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER.    Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file.
  •     Get link --- Get a public link.  If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view"
  •     Share ---     Click COPY LINK | DONE.  Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me.  It won't be shared.

          *    Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES.  Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.

Below, a 4K output export (source files not 4K) created in version 11.71:  lst clip 50% speed trans to normal speed 2nd clip trans to reversed final clip.  30fps.
