Removing Overlays and unlinking audio clips

Hi, There is a lot of info on adding stuff to videos and audio clips in the how to's. Are the programs able to unlink overlays on videos on the video pad and is the Mixpad capable of unlinking and removing audio that has been intergrated into the soundwave of an audio clip? Can the mixpad identify/highlight the different audio waves that are in the clip so one can see the ones that are not needed?

I need to be able to remove "stuff".

Hi, Thank you for the response I know how to separate the audio from the video clip. The problem I have is that there is and overlaying picture that appears at certain sequences along the time line of the video  that I need to discard/seperate/ remove from the video clip itself,

I'm trying now.

Good reason to Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves.  Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite.  From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the chevron to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar.   Then you can restore an earlier saved VPJ file.

If you exported with the overlay then, yes, it became a composited single clip.
