Cost of goods sold missing from chart of accounts set up

I cannot seem to figure out how to add cost of goods sold to the chart of accounts. I cannot fathom how it isn’t already a choice given it’s an important element of financial statements. Can someone help me?

I think I just figured it out. Accounts are listed as an expense. Then under type, choose “cost of sales”. I haven’t checked the P&L stmt yet to see if it shows up correctly but trusting it will
