Debut is not really meant for games - too high CPU usage, buggy encoding when heavy programs are running, etc.

For games, I'd recommend something like this if you're on Windows or macOS's built-in screen recorder in QuickTime.

Debut automatically detects when a full screen application, such as a game, is started. It will optimize settings for the full screen application. Recording will be restarted every time you switch between a full screen game and the desktop.

I guess you didn't understand how it works) I hope now you do, cause I was going to write the same thing as you but I found out the button disappeared but the recording goes on. Despite the fact that I already know this now, then I made a mistake and decided to just record the video quickly through vlc screen recorder. I needed to urgently record a video lesson as I was teaching how to play at an online casino. By the way, I have been doing this for a long time and play only on the best sites so as not to lose all my money, but on the contrary to multiply them. So I can recommend you some good ones, like this website. I play it already for 3 months and have had no issues.

how to disable this? i use software that is NOT a game and NOT fullscreen, but when it gets focus then Debut  thinks "o a game? lets stop the video and start a new one!"

this is so annyoing and its making the software useless to me.

In some games, technologies are used for cheat protection or screen recording prevention, which can interfere with screen recording. Check if the game you are trying to record has any known compatibility issues with your screen recording software. I had a similar issue.
