addressed Subtitles position changes from scene to scene

I have added subtitles to a music video and I'd like them all at the bottom of the screen. But the first few change position on the screen before they settle at the bottom. The "format" option in Sequence - Subtitles allows them to be top, middle or bottom. I've set them all to bottom but the first few are near the bottom but not at the bottom. Does anyone know a fix for this?

Not seeing that here in this version.  Give it a try.  Titles are lining up correctly at the bottom of the screen.  Be sure that you are not pressing <enter> before clicking the ADD button.

For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date.  After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest.  Retain your old install file and registration info.

If the issue persists, share your project.  Someone will take a look and come up with a fix.  The process is easy, quick and can be done privately.  Just follow these steps...

•     Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left.  Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER.  Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER.
•     Upload ---  Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER.    Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. 
•     Get link --- Get a public link.  If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" 
•     Share ---     Click COPY LINK | DONE.  Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me.  It won't be shared.

          *    Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES.  Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.

Actually, because this was the start of my foray into adding subtitles, I may have hit <enter> on the first 2 or 3 lines. These are the only ones out of alignment. I'll go back and check the project and redo these lines to see if that's the problem.

You were right. I clicked <enter> on the first 3 text entries. Undoing it is another matter but I'm getting there.

In the subtitle editor, select the subtitle and click at the end of the text.  Press the <del> key and the text will jump down as you eliminate the unnecessary lines.

I thought it would be this simple but I found I had already hard coded the subtitles into my video. So I redownloaded the clip but found the audio was now slightly out of sync. Anyway I was able to move the audio clip and line it up where it should be. So all is now well and I'm happy. 🙂

Glad it worked out.  If a file was in sync earlier, it should not be out later.  Use the latest VP version, if possible.
