Converting PDF to Image File?

After digitizing and editing many old b/w family photos, I downloaded all to Photostage.  Before each new ancestor slide, I would like to add a slide with brief narrative information.  I tried saving a PDF and then used a Microsoft PDF to JPEG converter, but Photostage does not recognize the file. I suppose I could scan each word document and save as JPEG.

Am I overlooking a way to do this?  I find adding "text" to a slide cumbersome as it is hard to see the font.

What error message are you getting? In this case we will recommend you try scanning the PDF file and save it as a plain image JPEG !

No error message. However, happily, I saw that NCH has a conversion software program, Doxillion Document Converter Software Plus. I purchased it, and it is working just fine.  Thank you.
