Problem converting PDF - progress bar gets stuck at 15%

I don't know what the problem is, as last time I used the app it worked fine. Currently, when I try and covert a PDF to an image format (I have tried PNG and JPG), the progress bar starts up but then gets stuck around 15% and never progresses any further than that:

Task manager shows fairly high CPU usage and "very high" power usage:

Have you tried reinstalling the program and see if that helps correct the issue? If you have not try that and if it does not work, I would suggest you reach out to the NCH technical support team and see if they can help. I updated the app to the most recent version, but the problem remains. I submitted a support ticket some days ago, but I've heard nothing back.

No thoughts from anyone on this? It works in PDFCandy but I don't want to drop F99 on that.
