newbie at midi player

Hi , i am new at playing a midi player keyboard. It is an old ufs-cme. It does not play sound by itself. It only has an out 5 pin midi plug on the back (no midi in). I bought a cheap usb to midi cord but it has 2 (1 in and 1 out)midi plugs.i am just trying to play music. Can anyone help me with software i need, like do i need a converter and a midi player. So lost ...:(

In this case, you may first need to connect the midi out to the computer, check if the computer recognizes the midi device and then you can use MixPad to create music using the Midi device.
