Jim the Aussie
I'm a brand new user, and composing for mandolin orchestra - mostly 5 parts (mandolin 1 & 2), mandola, guitar and bass). I can't see any obvious way to save the parts separately as pdf files so players in each section only get their own part rather the entire score. But surely there must be a way of doing this? Any advice? I shall be pathetically grateful.
elk
Sadly, it is not possible to print the different parts separately if they are in the same score. You will have to write the parts separately for each instrument.
Jim the Aussie
I think I have found a clumsy fix. After I have completed the full score, I think I can use the "Save As" command to save multiple copies. I can then delete all parts but the part I wish to keep in each copy. If I do that 5 times, I will have 5 single part score plus the original full score. But it is a clumsy way to do it. The program ought to have functionality to save and print separate parts.
