Problem recording guitar track

I record through a Focusrite  scarlett Solo unit and I was able to lay down a vocal track but my electric guitar track is not being recognized. I am not sure if it is a problem

in Mixpad or the focusrite unit though I can hear the guitar in my headphones, I can't record it.
