Set transitions to selected files

My Photstage productions have many (often hundreds) of picture files. The same tramstion al the way through becomes tiresome,  I want to be abe to select a batch or sequence of files for a transition. How can I select a Batch of files to change the transition.  The only options I see are All files, or selected file.  There is not a selected files (plural).  Is there a hidden method.

1. Click to select the Transitions tab
2. Use CTRL-mouse click to select the slides to want to adjust. You can also use standard selection patterns to select a range of slides.
3. Select one of the transition effects. 

I found I had to do the same thing. I selected a block of slides then chose Randomize (bottom choice)
