The user interface to VideoPad needs serious improvement. Considering my time learning the software, the subscription costs for this and other NCH products, and the project files and video products I've created, I'm beginning to wonder if this tool represents my real world example of the "sunk cost fallacy".

You have tacked onto an old thread that first dealt with the very dated VP 7.x series.  Many changes have been made since.

Please state exactly what you intend and the steps you use to accomplish it.  Folks here will chip in with suggestions.

VP provides many sizing/crop/scaling options.  As with any NLE, there's a learning curve.

Enable Dual Preview Mode in OPTIONS | DISPLAY to see what is actually being applied to the sequence as you adjust parameters in the preview window
