New user questions-FastFox does not seem to work in some apps. (ex. Microsoft Sticky Notes)

I have used several text expander/macro software programs over the years.  I am currently searching for a new one to work with Windows 10 and preferable most/all the apps that I commonly use.

I downloaded a trial of FastFox to try.....and had a couple of questions.

The first app that I tried using the shortcuts in was Microsoft Sticky note app, and I cannot get any of the shortcuts to work in this app.  I think it must be app specific, since the same shortcuts in Microsoft Word or Notes/Wordpad seem to work fine.

Any suggestions as to how to get this to be compatible with all my apps or text entry locations?  I thought I read somewhere that it should work with all Windows apps.
