Soundwaves won't show on certain audio files

I downloaded some songs from the internet and I wanted to edit one and It would not show the soundwaves, only one straight line on the middle.

 

I open another song and everything's working fine https://speedtest.vet/.

 

When I open the working one, the "Loading Audio File Source" is filling up, but when I load the other song, it just stars and closes in an instant.

The situation is only with the files that you downloaded from the Internet, could be possible that the file is corrupted, in this case, try doing a clean install and delete all the cache of the program. Uninstall your software first, then go to the folder location below on your computer then delete the WavePad folder folders:

C:\ProgramData\NCH Software
C:\Users\(Your computer profile)\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\WavePad

After deleting the WavePad  folder, restart your computer then install it again from the next link: https://www.nch.com.au/components/wpsetup.exe
