gdog
Changing the clip speed makes the FX transition flawed on export. Like if you slow down the clip, and use say a cross fade, on export the transition will stutter or won't be smooth.
borate
Tested a number of speed changes on video and still image clips, with cross fades, and could not replicate your results. Smooth. What version of VP is being used? Add the transition after setting the speed effect. Upload the project that does this and someone will check it out. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
gdog
Well, it didn't happen when I isolated a test, but I often experience these errors on larger, more complex projects usually at least over ten minutes. Separately, I still experience an error where I'll have two overlapping video track layers end to a single layer, a frame overlaps on the cut between them. borate
If speed changes run into problems, pre-produce them as an exported clip (possibly from another sequence), then insert the clip into the project. Can't analyse the 'overlap' issue without seeing the project. It's unclear what's meant by "end to a single layer."
gdog
I think I reported this issue before, but I've already deleted the share file. Takes too much effort to do again. https://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/30431-frame-rate-and-video-track-layer-issues/?tab=comments#comment-79844 Two clips on different layers on top of each other. Connected to one clip on one layer. On the connecting cut, the clip overlaps a frame or two.
borate
This was reportedly fixed in version 8.18. Using the latest, stacking two clips of identical length, only the overlay displays upon export, whether or not there is an adjacent clip that follows on track one. No flash or blink at head or tail.
