Bandicut videos not showing in new version

Hi,

I updated an older version of videopad to the latest and found that a lot of my clips will no longer load, whereas they did in the old version.

The MP4 clips were quickly edited in 'Bandicut' so I guess something is missing from that process. However, my older version of Videopad accepted them.

What can I do?

What version won't load those clips?  Look at the start-up screen or the bottom-left of the VP window.

Upgrade to this version and see if that has an effect.  If not, come back here.  For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date.  After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest.  Retain your old install file and registration info.

Interesting.  Please take a minute to share a file or two that had the issue, so they can be analysed and help others.  The process it easy and quick.  Just follow these steps...

Upload the file/s to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, get a shared (public) link, copy the link and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum.

Using Google Drive, if necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view."

Nah, just put in a longer video and it's doing it again. Seems to stop loading after a couple of minutes of a clip.

I'll send another file in a short while, just waiting to see if I'm not giving it long enough to render the preview (if that's what is happening, I'm not very well educated in this field 🙃)

If you are referring to the bar with the scissors, that can change colors and position with each VP install.  It's random.

The Bandicut mp4 video issue is confirmed and will be reported.  The video displays well here in this version, which is current.

But, it seems that earlier you loaded that release and it did not succeed, so that's a mystery.  Try it again.

If it fails, here's another version that utilized somewhat different architecture than the latest, which is still being refined.

Thanks for sharing your file.

What is the model of your video card - GTX.xxx?
