The audio is compressed into 50%, the pitch of the sound is raised and sound like the chipmunks

Recently, I purchased VideoPad Professional v 10.0 to use but any video files I added into the video track, the audio must be compressed into 50%, the pitch of the sound is raised and sound like the chipmunks and the length of audio in the audio track is the same as the length of the video. When I tried those files with VideoPad v 8.11 on my previous old computer, they worked fine. No compression and the pitch of the sound is normal. What can I do with VideoPad Professional v 10.0?
