How to stop Switch from adding metadata to the "Encoded By" tag field of files?

Recommended Posts

Every time I wipe out this field in Switch settings, it gets once more filled after re-opening of Switch. And I need to permanently get rid of this because apparently it makes WAV files have something written to them that in turn makes my sound editor spit out an error pop-up, saying that not everything from such file can be loaded up. And so every time I have to click OK in my sound editor- which is both annoying and counterproductive. I did not have such issue for years with version 4.35 on Windows 7 and 10 - but now I do with 9.0 after installing it from scratch on a brand new machine with up-to-date Windows 10

And yes - this is an issue of metadata being added to files created by Switch, which in theory can be managed within it. But as I said, after closing and reopening of Switch the field Encoded By is filled once more, despite it being wiped out the previous time. Also a LENGTH field is added to a converted file - and that field is not present in the option
