solved Increasing the volume of a clip

I know that the is a volume icon in the time line that allows you to turn the volume down as its set to high by default. But is there a way I can increase the volume from that?

Hi

Check the VP program volume setting in the PC Mixer control by left clicking the loudspeaker icon bottom right of the computer screen. This may show a lower volume setting than the control shown within the program. If they both show maximum volume use  the sound FX  Amplify option.

I see the volume icon in the bottom right of the screen and it is set to full by default. But there is only one clip in the timeline that I want to increase the volume.

As Nat suggests, click the FX button on the audio track for the clip and choose AMPLIFY to increase the volume of the clip.

You are clicking on the VIDEO FX.  Click the one on the Audio track.
