Is there in Videopad the equivalent of a publishing 'text box' into which pasted text can be put and will fit into without it just being a long, single line of text which has to be hand edited line by line to fit the desired location?

Hi

You can Copy/Paste text from a variety of sources into the VP text editor, but you will still have to format it yourself once pasted. Note that it will not always be a long single line of text as Enter  (New Line) in the copied text will produce a new line in the VP editor. However, this being so, long lines of text will always be present but outside the editor window and will need to be truncated into a new line.  The font size is also a factor as is the video AR. WYSIWYG as a rule hence it's a matter of user editing.
