Audio gone after making a cut

After pressing the l key to make a cut, the audio is gone. After pressing ctrl-z the audio is back. But it's gone again when making a new cut.

Is this a known issue with version v8.91? After a restart of videopad the issue is still there, so I guess I will have to start over

Is the vanishing audio linked to the video that is being cut?  That would explain it.

If it's not linked, then cutting the video should have no affect on the audio.

Pressing the L key to make a split also won't delete audio - it simply creates a split on all tracks.

If you are cutting different tracks , linked  or otherwise I find it more logical to use the Split button under the Sequence preview window as you then have the option to select specific tracks. Not known any part of a cut clip to self destruct.
