shriram
After upgrading to Big Sur Sound Tap is not Working. Is there any equivalent software that records from the computer sound and also plays to speakers . I would like to switch if this is not solved ? AndyC
AndyC I have the same problem, just like before when previous OS update. That time Sound Tap required a payment for a new version . Hope this doesn't happen this time.
ltmoss
It has been several weeks and no updates or any news from NCH -SoundTap regarding the issue.
JMP
I first commented on this November 16, now 28 December and still a big fat nothing on the problem from NCH Software. I thus have registered and paid for Sound Tap software that remains unusable - pretty damned poor if you ask me, bearing in mind that NCH have been aware of this since Big Sur first released. Not even a "we've not yet solved it" update since DannR's post of November 16. Step up NCH!!
ltmoss
I contacted NCH again on 12/24/20 and this is there temporary fix. It works with Big Sur. You can try now using the latest version from here: http://www.oldversiondownload.com/oldversions/soundtap-6-25-2020-12-11(intel).zipThis version is compatible with the Big Sur OS. Please contact NCH if you have another concern. My Note: You need to completely delete your old version of Soundtap and Install this version as new install. Its now Ver. 6.25 Make sure to restart so it picks up virtual driver now. I have verified it does work and record just like before.
