Audio sync

Howdy NCH,

For my podcast, I am recording my spoken voice audio on a separate device. The video camera captures audio as well, which will be muted in the final export.

Is there an easy way to sync up the separate audio with the audio recorded by the camera?

If the two audio recording devices were not sync-locked, there may be slippage as they may not have recorded at precisely the same speed.  Fixing it can take some mid-course adjustments.

Add your separate track as an overlay of the camera's audio track, then attempt to match up the waveforms.  Also listen to both audio sources concurrently.  Dragging one or the other should eventually achieve sync.

I guess by "easy" I meant "automatic," but you answered my question. That is how I have been doing it.
