jsnpi500
I recently got an email advertising a new version of videopad with DL links in the email. It went to my spam folder, so I wanted to investigate to see if there was a great new update like the email said. Here is the email I am using 8.55, and looking at the versions page, it looks like the only newer version is 8.56 Investigate caching with mp4 file, using all keyframe to increase seeking speed. Uploaded 2020-06-23 This doesn't sound like sound like "top requested features" have been implemented. Is this just a generic marketing email or nefarious spam ? borate
Features and improvements are routinely added. An update from the 6.x or 7.x series might be well worth it. The mail wasn't nefarious, just marketing. Avoid 8.56. It's successor will appear shortly. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. Neale
Why avoid 8.56 ? , I have just purchased it and that’s the version I have ! I have to say it’s not without its issues.... mainly almost impossible to edit as the preview screen rarely works. Its ok with one timeline but after that forget it. borate
Indeed. Many changes are 'under the hood.' Best advice is to test drive later releases.
