Only one channel seems to record and playback

Hi again 

mixpad was recording on both channels but now it's only one. And one on play back the right channel. 

also the red meter bar freezes on playback and record 

I've downloaded latest version 

optimised my laptop etc 

was working fine 

if anyone has any ideas is be very grateful
