.avi to .mp4 Conversion Requires Plus

Both my friend and I are using the free version of Prism, I can convert .avi files to .mp4 files but he cannot. He gets the splash screen prompting him to buy Prism with the message "Output Format .mp4 - Plus Version required". I don't know what size file he is trying to convert, my successful file is only 5MB, could that be an issue if he's trying to convert a very large file? He can convert the file to .avi OK. The page we downloaded Prism from said "It will never expire and you can use it free forever." Is he doing something wrong or is the download page lying?

In the free version you might find that some features are not available, in this case just to be sure, please uninstall Prism completely and make sure to download it from the NCH free programs page: https://www.nchsoftware.com/software/free-downloads.html
