If I'm getting a new Mac soon can I transfer my software that I use on a PC?

I plan on getting a Mac soon. Will I be able to transfer the software key that I use on a PC and download it on the Mac? I know that I can only use the software on one computer, just want to make sure that it's okay to go from PC to Mac. Thanks!

Hello, it may depend on how long ago you purchased the license and also, may depend on the current version you have on you Mac. If it is running Catalina and you purchased a license more than 6 months ago, you will be required to upgrade since old licenses will not be compatible with that OS.
