What do you mean by "I can't enter the same name twice in the name field"? What field are you referring to? Can you provide all the steps you have followed to be able to reproduce the issue? What occurs when you try to do that? Are you getting any error message? What happens you you try to get into Primary Contact? In any case, I would recommend you to reinstall the program https://www.nchsoftware.com/crm/refsetup.exe
