Alp
Please make a test recording in MPEG-4 and burn a DVD using NTSC in HD (widescreen) and see if the widescreen selection has shadow boxes on top and bottom of the screen. I do not want these shadowboxes on my finished DVD's when played back on a HD television. I also would like the video to be clear and not blocky as it currently is. The video files play clear on my Apple computer. I use a Canon professional camcorder at 45 fps recording in MPEG-4 format and have been using two other software products to make DVD's but would like to simplify to Video Pad and complete everything with one product and have a high quality DVD when finished. Also when a put a menu on the DVD and try and play back on my computer it does not play, I can get the DVD to play on the home unit/TV but the menu play button still does not work. Try DVD Maker Pro to see how a finished DVD is supposed to look.
borate
Is the aspect ratio of the original recording 16 x 9? Under the ADVANCED DVD Movie configuration box, the bitrate can be manually cranked up. In the Menu option, try BASIC (list). When clicked, that may play. We need to test the project, if it isn't enormous. Please share it. Here's how... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material you can link it in a personal message (PM) to me, via the envelope above. Be sure to FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply SAVE PROJECT.
Alp
Original aspect ratio is 16:9. Video Bitrate was set to 9000 manually and Audio to 320. Google Drive link to project. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1BFZFe-p5scngZI4CtT10CXXVXZlVxXYj/view?usp=sharing Notice on a computer the image is better than a TV. Possibly due to different pixel shapes. Still have the Letter Box even with selecting crop and zoom.

These links are to the project file and the MP4 that it created. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1TomZ2IMgriqJZbl8W3LPoPTduM5aLM3V/view?usp=sharing
borate
Your link leads only to the vpj control file. File|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS. This will pack all the files + the vpj so others can run the project just as you see it.
Alp
Sir: Perhaps this is another problem because I followed the instruction to save as a portable project before replying and posting the links and there was nothing in the downloads folder or anywhere else that I could find. All I have is the above two files, I even did a file search in the computer for any additional files and folders and found none. Sir: I went back to your instructions and found I need to use the FILE menu on top, not the Export File in the program. Due to the length of the original files I need to make a whole new project to share with you, otherwise the download will take 1.5 hours. I made a new project to shorten the download time. Still having video quality and display size issue. Thank you for your help. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nk8SqI2iHDl3XduWEaXRMysXlSEpktmw/view?usp=sharing Edited September 9, 2019 by Alp Additional info
borate
That's still only the VPJ file - none of the source files. Clicking on the FILE menu, then on SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS will include them all. The result will be a folder - similar to this 2019-09-06 00-13-58. Alp
Sir: This one has a source file now. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-ggcL1dKXrEEkcFFLKaQkTnTNSGqq4-c/view?usp=sharing

Alp
Sir: On my Google Drive screen the source file and VideoPad files are both in the folder. Apparently our buddies at Google do not want to send it. I just tried to download it myself and was not able to.
borate
Odd. Try zipping the files or downloading them separately. Try MS OneDrive or another server.
Alp
My fault, I am not used to doing this, had to make all files sharable. The first file is quite a bit bigger than the second, but will be easier to see the distortion. In the second sample the distortion will be evident if looking at the black lighting assembly in the video. Both have Letter boxes top and bottom (not wanted) and were burned at 9000 bit rate for video and 320 for audio. 1st link - Video recorded on Canon professional camcorder MPEG-4 https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1hYKDgkyLQQJtFXqO9xpFHrMy0nrJAw9l?usp=sharing 2nd link - iPhone video converted to MP4 https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/11xLx8wPCHp0YSlqyspNAXQRto7F8StZ9?usp=sharing
borate
The aspect ratio issue appears to be a bug, which is under investigation. Didn't spot artifacts on the PC screen, but your clips have not been viewed on a large screen TV.
Alp
Sir: Thank you for the download link, but I have an Apple, and will need and Apple version.
borate
Unable to test an Apple version here, sorry. The issues you raised are being investigated.
