Rewind doesn't work properly

I can't rewind anymore after about 20 seconds playing the files. If I do so, it will go to the last second of the audio file. Also the time line is incorrect: it says the duration of the file is more than 24 hours. I tried to reinstall and tried to use a former version of the software, and also tried to upload different audio formats, but nothing makes a difference.  Please please help, I have deadlines and getting stressed out now.
