aac to MP3

I am trying to convert an aac file to an MP3 for play in car system. Switch says I need a codec and provides a faulty link. What is the codec and where do I get it? Please advise. Thank you. - Stacy

well its supposed to be auto-downloading the aac decoder, but it won't if you aren't connected to the internet at the time. Get it here anyway:
