Free Version Question

I own the paid version of Express Scribe that I've used for a couple of years, but I teach a transcription course to other students using Express Scribe. In the past I've told them they could just download the free version to practice and upgrade to a Pro version when they land a transcription job and have a pedal or need to do video.

These past couple of months I've received comments that they aren't able to extend the trial version. If the trial version was for a Pro plan, is there still a basic, free version they can use? I just want to make sure I understand the product and policies, since I'm using the software for my course. Any help you could give would be great. Thanks.
