Credit card transactions

I expect that the credit card account that I set up should show a credit balance and that "purchase" should increase the "credit" balance. After reconciling the account and adding a transaction (transfer) from my cheque account to pay the reconciled statement balance , this incorrectly shows as a further credit (deposit) to the credit card balance instead of reducing it.

I found that from your checking account you need to use "transfer" option then it updates your CC balance
