.WPL issue

Recommended Posts

I received a .wpl file to transcribe and could not open it with ExpressScribe.  A search revealed it's a long-time issue.  None of the archived answers worked.  Here is what I did:  I used "docking"  and "audio cable method."  I opened the .wpl file with Windows Media player and started the ExpressScribe dock file.   ExpressScribe recorded the the Windows Media Player output perfectly in real time then gave it a dock name/number.  I was then able to transcribe it normally with ExpressScribe.  It was my first time with this issue after 23 years in business.  There were no recent mentions of this topic but I thought I should post this to the group anyway.
