Dan the Guitarman
So I want to play the score that I made. I wanted to test the software so I integrated the signature six notes from Metallica's nothing else matters. Crescendo was however "unable to play midi"... The template "dance of the sugar plum fairy" gave the same message after I pressed the play button. I don't have any midi applications in the background, nor do I have music apps like Spotify or even youtube videos opened. I tried restarting the application, but this did not resolve the problem... Please help. I need this program for school.
elk
Hello, In attempt to fix this issue, please try the steps below: Uninstall Crescendo, then delete 3 folders named "Crescendo" and 1 named "Components" from these locations: **C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\\Crescendo **C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Crescendo\ **C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Components **C:\ProgramData\NCH Software\Crescendo\ **If you can't find any of the folders, just continue. After that, restart your computer and reinstall the program using this link: http://www.nch.com.au/components/crescendosetup.exe Once done, restart your system one more time and try to load the MIDI file again.
