Batch Split & File Numbering

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am new to Wavepad and would like to automatically split all the mp3 files in one folder into smaller parts. I read about an "Auto split" feature but I cannot find it in the free version, nor can I find a "split" feature under the batch functions.

My original book already contains 65 mp3 files but their length is still too large in order to access a specific point in an audio book (my player has no bookmark feature, always starts at the beginning of the last played file). So I need to split all 65 files into smaller pieces. Without a batch solution I will have to open all 65 files separately and split them manually...

The OTHER problem I'm having is the numbering. When I multi-split a file named xxx_01, the resulting files will be named xxx_011, xxx_012, xxx_013 and so on. INSTEAD it should be xxx_0101, xxx_0102, xxx_0103 because once the numbering reaches 10, the files will be sorted incorrectly.

Can anybody enlighten me on one or both of these issues?

THANK YOU!
