Star Wars Scrolling text

I have what I hope is a quick question.

I am making a Star Wars video for a friend. I have tried a few different techniques to get the scrolling text from the beginning crawl. (Episode IV A new Hope... ect)

Tried shopping an image of the text to scroll from off screen bottom to top, scaling size as it moved (Did that without motion on the Title and it worked great), but the scaling turned the text image to junk.

Then I finally saw the "insert text" option (I know, to obvious right?). Now I have exactly what I want, but for one major issue.

It appears that when it renders scrolling text it formats it for the screen size. So in a normal up and down you aren't rendering images off screen, which saves time. But when you rotate the text to a 3d plain it keeps that formatting, not compensating for the new deep field it should scroll into.

Is there a way, even if I have to start from scratch, to either modify the field of view for the text "file" or is there some other technique I missed?

Also, would love to see a Justified formatting for text some day. :)
